Bread is the staple food of European countries, and with respect to religion is the symbol of "body of Christ ", while considering nutrition, it is the prime food for those who is body conscious. As for me, it is my favorite snack/meal/food. But the idea of merging bibingka and bread? Wow.

A trip to Baguio would not be over until you stop by and eat at one of its finest restaurants. And who wouldn't want to try a special, unique, and deliciously cooked home style Pinoy dishes cooked by the best chef of Baguio? I wouldn't decline such offer...
Combo Meal 3 |
Serves a combo meal, good for 3-4 persons(but I think it is good for 2-3 persons), and a combo meal good for 6 persons. Rice are sold separately from main dish. Beverages available are teas, coffees, milkshakes, juices, cocktail drinks and some alcoholic beverages though I'm not one to try alcoholic drinks on mid-afternoon. Milkshakes are fine, but I find it too expensive.
They do have a new branch in SM,beside Florgelliato Ice cream. The other one is along Military Cut-off (beside Zio's Pizzeria).

Student Meal: Sgt Sisig

As a student, i look for foods that can suit my budget. It's really hard to look for meals that you can afford and yet have the taste you like. For an allowance of 80-100 pesos a day,how can you manage to save, buy what you need in school and eat a decent meal?Sgt Sisig seems to have these qualities. Affordable but not dropping the quality. Unfortunately they were not that popular here in Baguio, since there just had there booth recently.
As their name implies they serve spicy hot sisig. Yes, spicy making you feel like a pro on eating spicy foods. And as a Filipino, you have to be proud and boastful when you have resisted the tears coming out of your eyes due to its spices and the runny nose when you feel like crying..
Serving only a pork sisig and tuna and chicken for non-pork eaters, Sgt sisig would indulge you with its Sisig recipes. Sgt Sisig is located at the Pines Arcade of Lower Session Road, baguio City. They have a little booth there, and do not have its own eating place, unfortunately. I advised you to just take out your meal to enjoy a spicy-eating.
Pork Sisig Cost: Php 55.00 |
Cost? their solo meals ranges from 55-70 pesos depending on your add-ons, you can add another egg,rice,etc..And they do have barkada meals, good for 2-3 persons and cost only 120 pesos!!.

If I have to name a
pizza with quality in Baguio, Zio’s Pizzeria would be on top of my list. Why? for
the simple reason that it’s really the best. Right, one of the best pizza
restaurants in Baguio I had visited. A Baguio-based Pizza restaurant that have
a unique recipe for each of its pizzas served. Zio’s pizza would make your
mouth drool for its smell, yearn for more, and crave for their other pizza . A pizza restaurant that you will surely revisit and would definitely be a hit!.

Baguio Pizza Volante: A review

From the reviews I have read through the internet, Baguio
Pizza Volante seems to have a name on Italian dishes that is serving in the
city. Nevertheless, I have to try the diner.
Located at the center of the famous Session Road of Baguio (Upper), this
restaurant has been standing there for years. I was hoping to see a spacious place but it
seems the opposite. [They do have a second floor and they have a serving
counter there so you do not have to go down when you want to order again (how
cool!).]

HOW TO MAKE KUTSINTA

Since I am into breads or any wheat-turned-food I will share
a simple recipe courtesy of Aling Nena del Mundo. Kutsinta is another native
merienda of the Philippines. Unlike puto it is much more glutinous and also
varies colors but it is commonly golden and red-orange in color. You can buy
this one on any market places, same price as puto (see recipes of Puto/steamed
muffins) or on sidewalk vendors.

Puto or steamed muffins is one of the native merienda
of the Philippines. You can buy it on
any market places. Steamed muffins
varies colors and taste .
But it’s probably one of the favorite merienda of the Filipinos. It is affordable;
price ranges from 50 to 70 pesos when buying a half kilo for small ones and 5
pesos for one piece of larger ones. But how do they make puto or steamed muffins? Here are
some simple recipes…

New side of Korean Ramen: Spaghetti Ramen

Spaghetti Ramen Cost: Php 45.00 |
Korean Ramen is known for its spicy
taste and I think it is spicier than the sisig that I have already tasted. For
those who do not have any idea of ramen, ramen is the “canton/noodles” of
Koreans. It tastes different from the Philippines’ canton, from the kind of
noodle they use to the taste and seasonings.( Of course, you would expect it to
be different because it is for Koreans.)

Black and White Cake & Ube Milkshake Cost: Php. 69.75 (Cake) 59.75( Milkshake) |
Being stuck on the Harrisson
overpass for almost 15 minutes and Hotel veniz is nearby; I’ve decided to pay a
visit to their diner, Veniz Grill. Veniz Grill oversees a part of the city,
specifically the Igorot Garden where various monuments of the Cordilleran could
be found and since it was raining the locals who are used to playing board
games there are nowhere to be found. Located at the 3rd floor of the
Hotel Veniz building, just beside Betty’s Grill, Veniz Grill serves breakfast,
lunch and dinner and merienda. The place is spacious but there is nothing
unique.

A taste of Baguio Retro Diner: 50's Diner

"Guys-on-the-hood" Cost: Php 135.00 Consists of fried chicken, grilled pork, a slice of pizza and an onion toasted bread, spaghetti, and vegetables |
When my friend had asked me to be a blogger, I had opted to be a food blogger, why? for the simple reason that I (and you, of course, since you wouldn't be reading this if you were not interested) am,since being a child were very fond of foods, specially breads. I love breads (really) and pasta dishes.
When visiting Baguio or even want to visit Baguio, tourists and alike would never forget to drop by one of the famous and since time immemorial retro diner in Baguio, [Glenn] 50's Diner. Actually, this is my second time to visit this diner and I just like their foods. Serving an american style dishes (meaning they serve heavy or huge meals) that just suit every Filipino taste. You could order here a solo meal, good for two or 3-5 persons. Price ranges from Php 50-500 and I must say it's really worth it. Ambiance is good and you could see the movie advertisements of Manilyn Monroe and others whom I haven't been aware yet. But there is something different now on 50's diner, the rolling skates of waitresses is nowhere to be found. Uh-huh..and their servings from before had shrink but the same taste..
